Satechi LCD Timer Vertical Battery Grip for Nikon D80 and D90 with Remote
Control
Overview: Display and Buttons/Switches
Here’s a quick overview of the buttons and their functions:
On the very left, the display shows a small function icon, with 3 possible values “clock”,
“cycle” and “timer”. Next (from left to upper right) the hours, minutes, and seconds are
displayed.
The big dial in the center is not a button, but a lock - by rotating it clockwise 90° the
battery compartment is unlocked and can be opened.
Next are the “SET”, “H.ADJ” and “L.ADJ” buttons as well as a button labeled “ST/SP”.
The SET button is later used to cycle from one component on the display to the next
(hours -> minutes -> seconds), while the H.ADJ doesn’t adjust hours, but the left part of
each displayed group of two, while the L.ADJ button adjusts the right part of each
group. So if you want to configure a timer of 12 minutes, you have to press the SET
button until the minutes (”00″) start to blink, then press the H.ADJ button once (”10″)
and finally press the L.ADJ button twice (”12″).
The last button to the right, labeled ST/SP, is the Start/Stop button to start or stop the
timer.
